This course consists of 16 SQA National Qualification Units studied at Intermediate 2 and higher level, including:

  • Applied Multimedia
  • Technology
  • Desktop Publishing

  • Hardware and Software

You will study a wide variety of practical and theoretical units.

Aims & Objectives

To further develop the candidates’ skills, studying a wide variety of practical and theoretical subject in the areas of Information Technology, Computing, Multimedia and Information System as well as core skills.

Requirements
  1. The NQ Introduction to Computing and IT award
  2. A minimum of 3 relevant Standard grades at grades 1,2 or 3
  3. Work related experience and some knowledge of computers
  4. Any qualification equivalent to one of the above

Progression

NQ Access to Computing and Multimedia- Fast Track

It may also be possible for you to study a shorter version of this course from January to June. This course is ideal if you wish to study HNC Computing or HNC Interactive

Multimedia Creation and have some experience, but not the qualifications for direct entry on to the HNC programme

This course is designed so that you can progress directly on to either the HNC Computer or the HNC Interactive Multimedia Creation.
